March-05-2025 Network Engineer (dDos)

R10 Networks is seeking a Network Engineer(dDos).

R10 Networks operates the infrastructure for a portfolio of top-level domains that today include .com, .net, .tv, .edu, .gov, .jobs, .name and .cc, as well as two of the world's 13 Internet root servers. R10 Networks's product suite also includes Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Protection Services, and Managed DNS.

Responsibilities:

  • The Network Engineer will be responsible for identifying and mitigating denial of service attacks against Verisign critical infrastructure services as well as attacks against external customers.
  • The Engineer must have experience in responding to denial of service attacks, identifying traffic anomalies, and devising filtering strategies in real time.
  • The Network Engineer will be responsible for provisioning customer traffic monitoring using various "flow" technologies on multiple routing platforms including: Cisco, Juniper, and Foundry, as well as various flow analysis platforms including Arbor Networks.
  • Must be experienced in various networking and security technologies and be able to communicate with customers.
  • Experience with dDos mitigation platforms such as: Arbor TMS, Radware and Riorey is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional problem solving and multi-tasking skills are essential.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of industry experience in Networking and Security for large networks
  • Hands-on experience with DoS/DDoS detection, analysis and mitigation
  • Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting complex network problems
  • Experience in design and implementation of Network/Security infrastructure with Cisco and Juniper technologies, Foundry load balancers and security devices
  • Experience with all major routing protocols including OSPF, BGP and EIGRP
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP communications and DNS
  • Understanding of vulnerability analysis, network defense, and auditing processes
  • Knowledge of network management tools such as Arbor, Opsware, OPEN and Network Analyzers
  • Experience providing managed security services
  • Carrier or service provider experience a plus
  • Ability to work on-call rotation within a team of network and security experts via remote location if required.

R10 Networks is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide desktop and network infrastructure services in support of DEA.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct hands-on experience in a large, operational WAN environment to include Active Directory experience.
  • Administration and configuration of Cisco ISE “Identity Service Engine” to include updating the IOS, full configuration of new ISE appliances, entry into the MAB, and confirmation of MAC entries. Also, to include oversite and survey of load balance, and TACACS support of ISE Policy Servers...
  • Configuration of Cisco 1900, 2000. 3000, 4000, and 5000 series switches; specific emphasis on Cisco 3850 Series; Practical experience with IOS updates. Data and power stacking; ISE switch configuration; Multiple VLAN support.
  • Configuration of Cisco 800 and 4300 series Routers. Emphasis on IOS updates both locally and remotely. Practical experience with configuration and support of 4300 series blade modules and virtual 4351 router modules.
  • Installation of hardware and software on workstations, including trouble shooting hardware and software failures.
  • CONUS and OCONUS support of all network device will include remote support for installation teams, direct hands-on support of devices, direct remote support of devices utilizing various network tools, travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations to provide direct support during installations and technical refresh activities.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of degree is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in network engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the DNS efforts by working with the DNS Engineering Team.
  • Architect DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure including maintenance, code upgrades, and scheduled monitoring .
  • Provides subject matter expertise to maintain the appropriate lifecycle for the technologies in scope, including technology risk, refresh, migration and retirement.
  • Analyzes system performance, modifying parameters to improve throughput and effectively utilize system resources.
  • Monitors resource usage, making required adjustments.
  • Establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships with internal and external strategic partners as well as critical IT infrastructure service providers. With administrative direction, leads the evaluation and selection of tools.
  • Responsible for accurately estimating and planning activities within the domain to provide the necessary input into the project managers for developing an end to end plan.
  • Evaluates tools and makes cost-conscience tool recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years supporting Infoblox or similar DNS deployments with a very strong understanding of BIND
  • 5+ years of experience of design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large DDI network consisting of WAN, LAN, ASAs and VPNs.
  • 5+ years of experience in routing protocols like (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRRP, IP, HSRP, BGP for dual ISP, etc. protocols) and set up load balancing using BGP for dual ISP
  • 5+ years of experience with layer-2, layer-3, and/or layer-4 network protocols and technologies, TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SOAP, NFSv4.x, SMB
  • Experience of working with BIG-IP LTM, GTM, and Viprions is a plus
  • Understanding of vulnerability analysis, network defense, and auditing processes

March-05-2025 Network Engineer II

R10 Networks is seeking a Network Engineer II.

The Network Engineer II supports a large university network infrastructure with opportunities to utilize multiple technologies. Installs, sets up, and monitors the local area network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and wireless network (Wi-Fi). The Network Engineer II also performs a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to ensure LAN performance meets company and user requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements network security, including configuring firewalls, managing host security, backup and disaster recovery planning, and adding and deleting users.
  • Approves network firewall rules. Maintains confidentiality with regard to information being processed, stored or accessed through university network resources.
  • Implements Network Engineer-Architect’s designs, and builds the enterprise’s computing networks including data centers, wide area networks (WANS), and local area networks (LANs).
  • Makes recommendations on changes in hardware and network configuration to improve delivery and availability of service. Troubleshoots potential network architecture/design problems before they occur and communicates solutions.
  • Creates and maintains existing documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, and processes.
  • Recommends, maintains, and implements policies and procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. Documents work completed within tracking system. Creates project implementation documentation for moderate to complex projects.
  • Installs, monitors, maintains, supports and optimizes moderately complex network hardware, such as wired, wireless or other network equipment.
  • Supports software, systems and communication links such as structured cabling and single and multi-mode fiber.
  • Analyzes and resolves hardware and software problems. Monitors and analyzes network performance and availability against expectations, implements performance tuning, and troubleshoots a variety of moderate to complex network problems. Provides network performance statistics and reports.
  • Interacts with vendors and service providers to resolve moderate to complex network related problems, and implement solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or related field.
  • Three years’ experience with wide and local area networks including experience with common-carrier data networks required.
  • Prior experience with large to very large enterprise computing environments that include multiple site locations.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Hands on experience on Higher end CISCO switches (Nexus7K,5K,2K, Cisco 6500, 4500, 3750 and 2900 Series) and Routers (ASR and ISR Series).
  • Should be able to handle complex issues (Fabric paths etc.).
  • Experience of managing large scale network infrastructure and Data Centers.
  • In depth knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting switching technologies like STP, VTP, Multicast, QOS, VPC etc.
  • In depth knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols including static, dynamic (BGP and EIGRP).
  • Good understanding of MPLS, VPLS and IPSEC VPN.
  • Good understanding of Incident and Change Management procedures.
  • Good communication skills and team coordination.
  • Good experience in handling Riverbed & Infoblox.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelo 's Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • CCNA certification required, CCNP preferred.
  • Vendor specific certifications on video conferencing systems a plus.
  • Skills and Experience
  • 5 - 10 years' experience in video conferencing (VC) support.
  • 3 - 5 years audio visual (AV) experience, including control systems
  • Must have VCS, R/S, infrastructure, network engineering experience with video.
  • A strong working knowledge of Video Communications Server (VCS).
  • A strong working Knowledge of Multipoint Control Unit (MCU)
  • A strong working knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
  • A strong working knowledge of Cisco Telepresence Endpoints (IX, TX, SX & MX)
  • A Working knowledge of video conferencing infrastructure.
  • Experience with TMS a plus
  • Experience with Polycom Endpoints & Infrastructure: HDX, OTX, Surface Hub, RealPresence, DMA, RPRM.
